Chilean President visits PlascoEnergy’s demonstration facility
Ottawa, June 10, 2008 — Plasco Energy Group was
honoured to host Her Excellency, Michelle Bachelet, and sixty
Chilean officials and media including the Minister of Foreign
Affairs, Minister of Energy, and Chilean Ambassador to Canada at the
Plasco Trail Road commercial-scale demonstration facility. Her
Excellency was able to see the innovative technology in operation,
accepting 85 tonnes of municipal solid waste per-day from the City
of Ottawa. After the tour, the President talked about the emphasis that Chile’s current government has given to the energy subject, “Our economy and our coexistence requires us to diversify our power-plants and we want to continue advancing towards less and less polluting energy forms, especially in renewable energies”, she indicated.
Her Excellency’s response to the visit to was extremely positive and PlascoEnergy looks forward to future discussions about the Plasco Conversion System with Chile.
